Wee Softies in Paris

As I mentioned in a previous post, I had a quick couple of days in Paris in June, whilst visiting family for a big family reunion. It was lovely to see so many family members from Scotland, England, France and Australia, and great to get everyone together.

When my 'Wee Softies' heard about the trip they insisted that they come to! They argued that it wasn't fair that Erwin got to have all the fun and they wanted a bit of sightseeing themselves.

Unfortunately their wasn't to much time for sightseeing as most of the trip was taken up with family events but they did get to see a few things.

Here they are enjoying the sun in the Jardin de Luxembourgh. A beautiful garden with lots of sculptures both classical and modern. There is a great pastry/cake shop nearby that is well worth a visit if you are in Paris (i'll post details in a future post). The big domed building in the background is the Pantheon.

Gosh it has been a while!

I can't believe it has been over two months since my last entry. I really have got a lot of catching up to do. My only excuse is I have been really busy and the blog just hasn't been top of the list. 

Why so busy? Well a lot of things have changed for me recently but the main one is I have moved back to Scotland. Lots of packing and unpacking boxes etc. and driving back and forth between London and Scotland. I also had a quick trip to Paris but more on that later!

Erwin has also been very busy. He has been sending me regular updates on his trip and I am really behind on sharing his adventures. He has been to Malaysia, Borneo, Laos and is now in Cambodia, so there are lots of stories to share. I will sort through the pictures and post about his trip soon.

In the meantime, here is a picture of my three original 'Wee Softies' Milo, Bill and Mabel enjoying one last view of London including Big Ben and the 'Eye'. We were all really sad to leave London but it was time to come back to 'Bonnie Scotland'!

2nd Annual Softies Awards

A little while ago I came across Softies Central, a great blog about all things Softie related. Then last week I read that Therese at Softies Central was holding the 2nd Annual Softies Awards. (More information on the awards can be found on the Softies Central Blog.)

I thought this was a great idea and have entered some of my Wee Softies. Meet Milly, she has been entered in the 'pink or plaid' category.

These Wee Softies have been entered in the 'cutest face' category. They are: Oscar, Bonnie, Bailey and Erwin.

All the Wee Softies I have entered so far have already been adopted. I hope they are enjoying their new homes. I certainly know Erwin is enjoying his adventures. (I will be sharing more about Erwin's travels in a post soon.)

I have also entered some of my little Mousies.

The closing date for entries is the 18th April, so there are still a few days remaining. If you are a softies maker get your Softies entered quick! I may add a few more before the time runs out.

Meet Ainsley

Here is Ainsley, the latest Cat 'wee softie' to make it to my etsy shop. Doesn't he look smart with his blue ribbon.

Happy Easter!

Wishing you all a very Happy Easter!

Bill is currently relaxing on the sofa and wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter! It is one of his favorite holidays (he gets all the attention cos he is a Bunny!). I think he may have eaten too many treats but he would never admit it. Even so, he is holding on to the last 'Crispy Nest' cake as he doesn't want anyone else to have it. Apparently they are just to yummy! Well I think we can let him off just this once, he is not normally such a greedy Wee Softie. I hope the Easter Bunny was good to you and brought you lots of lovely treats. We have been enjoying hot cross buns, some of our chocolate eggs and a few of these little chick-a-dees from Godiva, though it was difficult to eat them as they looked so cute. The milk ones have an orange filling and the dark ones have vanilla. Yum Yum.

New 'Wee Softies' on Etsy!

Meet Alice, Archie, Grace and Bryce. They are a few new 'Wee Softies' I made recently and they are now available to buy online! I have now got an online shop over at Etsy.

For those of you unfamiliar with etsy, it is a website dedicated to bringing together people wanting to buy and sell all things handmade.

In addition to the 'Wee Softies', I currently have some flower brooches in the shop and hope to have some of the lavender bags from the last post up for sale by the end of the day.
